Dr.Zubairi Debuts Brand New Technology At CIED Panel

Recently in the Fredonia Center For Innovation and Economic Development or CIED, a panel has been held, organizing a client showcase. Among attending members there was SUNY Professor and ITS Chair, Dr. Zubairi, with a presentation made in collaborative effort with State University at Buffalo engineering student Arjun Kodial.Together they unveiled the brand new ZubAir glass box. The new technology has the attention of The National Transportation Safety Board with intent of continuation of development targeted for small regional jets. Congratulations to both Professor Zubairi and student Arjun Kodial.

Fredonia Professor Leads On New Article About Political Violence and Terrorism

SUNY Fredonia Associate Professor Jesse Norris has published an article on topics of addressing political violence. Titled: “Would you press a button to kill the president? Willingness to engage in political violence and its implications for terrorism sting operations.” The reading has been recently published as Critical Studies on Terrorism, an online reading dedicated to understanding and how to counter it.

Tutoring Office Looking For New Members

The Fredonia Tutoring Office is calling out to all students with a shared interest in teaching, helping others, and sharing information in their field with other students. The office is currently hiring student tutors from across all walks of academics from Sciences to Arts and everything in between. They are also looking to hire brand new Peer Success Coaches who can guide students to their full potential at SUNY Fredonia and beyond. Molecular Science tutor Colleen Tytler adds this about the program, “Tutoring has been one of the highlights of my time here at Fredonia! I will forever be grateful for the connections I have made through tutoring, whether it be helping my peers to succeed in their courses, the friendships I have gained, or the supportive environment- tutoring has been one of the most rewarding and meaningful experiences I have had here.” Students can apply online from now up until April 4th at 4pm.
